All of the programs below are free to the public!

Holding Plant

Nature Saturdays at WisCorps!

This event will be held the first Saturday of every month, 9:30am to 11am at the Myrick Park Center. This is a FREE program! Great for families! Rain or shine! No sign-up required!

Each program will feature seasonal topics taught through games, stories, outdoor exploration and play. Join the fun with WisCorps’ nature teachers!

*Children must be accompanied by adults. Face masks are currently optional. WisCorps Pandemic Protocol will be in place during all WisCorps-led events.

EnviroWednesdays at WisCorps!

An adult (ages 14+) nature series on the first Wednesday of every month at Myrick Park Center (unless otherwise noted). Free, no registration necessary. Brought to you by WisCorps and Friends of the Marsh

Who says creepies and crawlies are just for kids? Join us to enhance your nature knowledge. Different topics and speakers every month! Recommended for ages 16+.

Walking in the Woods

WisCorps Wanderers!

*This program will return in 2023 (exact date TBD)!*

Wander around the La Crosse River Marsh or saunter in Hixon Forest with one of WisCorps’ nature teachers. This is not a lung buster or quad quivering hike, it’s a social distanced,  mindful walk about experiencing nature for folks of all ages and all abilities. If you never thought hiking was your thing but want to get outdoors, then this free program is the way to go!

When? Fridays, 8am to 9am, rain or shine, no registration necessary! Meet at the south side (front door) of the Myrick Park Center.

Reptile Roundup!

On Wednesdays from 9am to noon, stop in at the Myrick Park Center to meet and learn about a variety of our education critters! If you're lucky, you might get to see one of our snakes being fed!

This is a free, informal program. It is designed for the general public to drop in at anytime between 9am and noon.

Children MUST be accompanied by adults. Please call ahead if you have a group of 10 or more.
